The Story

Furoshiki are traditionally used as wrapping cloths, commonly used to carry lunches or to wrap gifts. However, this one can have many uses. From a sheet to go over your bed, an on-the-go table cloth or a beautiful piece to be displayed in your home. The uses of Furoshiki are limited only to the owner's imagination.

Shibori is a traditional Japanese resist-dyeing technique that has been around longer than any other fabric dyeing method. The pattern is made by binding, stitching, folding, twisting, compressing, dyeing, and then releasing the binding pressure to reveal the pattern. Commonly mistaken for tie-dye in the West, the original Shibori techniques were ancestral, handed down exclusively within Japanese artisan families.
