The Story

 

"Samue" are similar to jinbei in that they are commonly worn as at home loungewear. However, there are a couple of slight differences between jinbei and samue. Samue are made from a heavier weight fabric and the set includes long pants instead of short. They are traditionally worn as work clothes by zen monks to perform daily maintenance tasks, yet the comfortability of samue quickly spread to become the preferred clothing for many people such in the hospitality industry, for meditation, or simply for casual home wear.
