The Story

Printed in the USA. For this limited run of our Daruma hoodie, we designed these hoodies in house referencing traditional Daruma doll elements. Embroidered on the front and screen printed with water based inks on the back, these hoodies are made to last.

In Japanese culture, figurines called “daruma” can be found near the entraces of houses, shops, or temples. They are based on the image of Bodhidharma, the founder of the Zen tradition of Buddhism. Daruma are typically red but can be found in a variety of colors and designs. Seen as a symbol of endurance, happiness, and luck, they make a popular gift for encouragement.
